On the 25th of June, the RAJANS UK rugby team, participated in the prestigious 15th Sri Lanka Schools Touch Rugby Tournament at Chiswick rugby grounds.
Grouped with renowned rugby-playing schools such as Prince of Wales, Isipathana, Lumbini, Thurston, DS, Wesley, and St. Peters, the atmosphere was electric with scorching🌞weather🥵, vibrant Sri Lankan music🥁🎹🎷, delectable food🍻🍝, and intense rugb🏉 matches.
RAJANS kick-started the tournament with a triumphant 5-0 victory against Prince of Wales, followed by an impressive 5-1 win against Isipathana. They secured their third consecutive win by defeating DS with a score of 4-3. Advancing to the Cup/Plate🏆 Quarterfinals, RAJANS dominated Zahira College with a convincing 4-2 win. Although they fought valiantly, RAJANS were narrowly defeated by St. Peters in a close match with a final score of 3-1, concluding their remarkable journey in the tournament👏👊🤝.
